Swappin' Fun

I just finished up a Christmas ornament
swap in the Etsy Cottage Style group.

This little snowman is the ornament
I made for Bernice, my swap partner.

She sent me this cute little fairy
ornament. Isn't it adorable?

I also received three sweet
little paper fan ornaments.

Right now, I'm hurrying to finish
up on another swap with the Marie
Antoinette Mail Art Group.

We're doing 4" x 4" pages for
a chunky book. The theme
is Christmas at Versailles.

This has been another fun project.

Hope you're doing something fun today!

Giving Thanks

I have been feeling very thankful recently.

Even more than usual.

One of the things that I am especially
thankful for, is all of the sweet and wonderful
people who visit my blog. I am really trying
to visit everyone who stops by....I don't
always make it, but I'm trying.

I want you to know how much I appreciate
your sweet comments, they mean alot to me.

I will be by to visit you very soon.

Have a Wonderful Thanksgiving!

Christmas is Coming!

I couldn't stand it anymore!

I had to start my Christmas decorating.

I started with the kitchen and livingroom.

I even sewed a sweet shoppe
valance for my kitchen window.

The tree is up in the livingroom
and that room is almost finished.

I still have the rest of the house to do.
I'll be working on it all week since
I don't have to fix Thanksgiving dinner
this year. We're going to my sil's house.

Marie Antoinette Swap

I'm a member of the Marie Antoinette
Mail Art group, and there are so many
fun swaps going on all the time.

I made this hat box for the Les Vacances
secretes de Marie (Secret Marie Holiday Swap).
My partner was Tristan Robin Blakeman,
a very talented quilt and mixed-media artist,
which made me nervous
to be making something for him.

But, I had so much fun with it.

Some of the things I made to put
in the box were this Marie ornament....

....a little box that I filled with embellishments...

....and some Marie tags.

Tristan has pictures of everything I added to
the box, on his blog Enchanted Revelry,
if you want to see it all. And while you're
there, be sure to check out his amazing work.

Do something that makes you smile today!

The Glitter is Flying!

I'm having so much fun working
on goodies for my Christmas
sweet shoppe theme.

This banner will hang over my
kitchen window. I love these
adorable cupcake images

My son asked me last night, why
there was glitter all over the
kitchen counter.  hehe!
And I don't craft in the kitchen.

The glitter is just flying!

I'm getting very close to disaster though.
If I don't get to the craft store soon,
I'm going to be out of clear glitter!
Ahhhhhhh!

While in Walmart today, I spotted
this pretty ribbon. I don't know yet just
what I'm going to do with it, but
it was too pretty to pass up!

Glitter something today,
you know you want to!

I'm Thinking.....

....of a sweet shoppe look
for my kitchen this Christmas.

We'll see how it goes.
Right now, I'm having
a hard time keeping my
hands off the cordial kisses.

Have a sweet day!

A Secret and More Glitter

For the last couple of weeks, I've
been working on a swap for the
Marie Antoinette Mail Art group.

It was a fun challenge. I got my
package mailed out today, so
I will show you what I made as
soon as my partner receives it.

I've been playing in my studio,
making some Christmas things.

After painting and glittering
these little houses....

...I'm not sure I like
what I did with them.
I may be starting over.

I've also been glittering
wooden snowflakes.
I think I'm seriously
addicted to glitter!

Make something sparkle today!
